I had yummy ingredients in hand:
Cucumber, basil and strawberries from the garden, blueberries from the local farm, and 25 year old balsamic vinegar.
I set it on the table and Daughter says “Why? Why would you do that to perfectly good blueberries?”
Sigh.
DH even looked at it dubiously. He knew better than to open his mouth against it.
I replied, “just eat it, ok? It’s fruit and it will be fine.”
They begrudgingly agreed that it was indeed edible. I personally though it was refreshing.
