The most notable thing about this book is that it was written by an 80’s favorite movie actress Molly Ringwald. In the reviews, the narrative is all about her rather than the book. When It Happens to You is said to be a set of short stories but I read the stories as mere chapters of a book in the same story. Each chapter focused on a different character, but many books do that. Not sure why each one would be a stand-alone short story.
The arc is about a couple where the wife finds out about her husband having an affair, the fall out, and consequences. It’s not particularly engaging or interesting.
This was a book tagged for the August book club. I’ll be curious to see what the others have to say about it.
