How does Facebook see me?
I wore a skort for the first time in the summer. I did not mention the word skort out loud to anyone. I did not take a photo of myself in a skort.
Yet the next time I logged into my Facebook account, there was a new ad for cool skorts with a pocket on the inside shorts portion of the outfit. The ad had never been on my feed before.
How did Facebook know I was wearing skorts? Yes I own 5 pair of skorts, 4 bought from Costco 8+ years ago and 1 pair bought from Amazon 2 years ago. Yes I can see the Amazon connection but that was so long ago, why would Facebook NOW pull that info and display a new ad the very day I’m wearing a skort?
Just a little disturbing.
