When I brought out the sesame oil, Son got very excited. The smell and taste is very yummy. The smell even brought out Brother to see what i was cooking.
I was making Sesame Carrots on a Bed of Soft Cabbage from Mollie Katzen’s Vegetable Heaven. I’ve made it every time CSA gives me Napa Cabbage. The recipe has 2 components: an onion/cabbage part and a sesame/honey carrot component. I saw a note in my cookbook that Son didn’t like the recipe. Since I don’t remember when I wrote the note, I thought I would gamble on making it anyway.
I doubled the carrot portion. What was left over: half of the onion/cabbage part. So to make it come out even, I’ll need to quadruple the carrot part! They’re really good. Everyone ate the food (made some rice too) and even Son liked it so I get to remove that note from my cookbook. Progress.
