Retirement Planning

BF wanted me to retire so I could travel more with him. I started making plans, telling friends, family, and coworkers that I’d leave my job at the end of the year. Then BF not nervous that I’d be bored. Even though I tell him I’m rarely bored because there is so much to do in life, I’m now not leaving my job.

A GF was insistent that I read “How to Be Single and Happy: Science-Based Strategies for Keeping Your Sanity While Looking for a Soul Mate” by Jennifer Taitz. Even though I’m not single, she thought this book was good to help me clarify values which would lead to planning for my future activities. How do I want to spend my time when I’m retired? What are my values? I compartmentalize life, whether I’m creating new year resolutions or making a chore list. Here are the areas of life that I can fill up.
