From botanical to bottle, I got to discover the true artistry of crafting my very own gin at the Puss & Mew distillery outside of Melbourne.
This masterclass gave me the overview of gin creation and I got to peruse over 40 ingredients and choose my own botanicals for my gin.
We used a mortar and pestle to gently grind the juniper berries.
After I weighed my flavors and tied them up in a cloth, they were added to an individual Copper Still imported from Portugal.
While my gin was distilling, we got a tour of the facility and had a delicious lunch.
I had added a peaflower for coloring so I have a lovely blue gin that will be ready to drink in 2 weeks. Cheers y’all.
