If I have plans to be out of the house at dinner time, I usually prepare dinner for the family and give instruction on how to actually eat the meal. There was a failure in my directions or their understanding about the Poached veggies with caper mayo. I came home and none of the caper mayo was touched. So I scooped one of the carrots in the mayo and popped it in each of the kids’ mouth. They liked it the dish significantly more than without the caper mayo. Son was so moved by the taste extravaganza that he hugged me in appreciation.
Of course the kids would probably eat dog food if I put capers on it.
