Photoshop Camera is an Adobe product that was released in 2020. I downloaded it shortly before the Adobe Max conference last October because I knew there would be workshops about this product.
At first I wasn’t excited about it since it was sort of like Instagram filters and I couldn’t see the value in the new app. I played with the filters, posted several on Instagram, and used the #photoshopcamera tag to see if they would repost any of my pix.
With the Year of the Ox filter, I had to try again with the #photoshopcamera tag and I was thrilled when I got a DM:
Hi sbdutcher! We love your artwork and would love to post this piece on our Photoshop Camera Instagram channel. Can you also provide us with the original photo? Please reply YES or NO if we have permission to do that. Thanks! -J
OMG yes!! I was super excited today when they included my pic in a post of the day.
I’ve been using the app for fun things: a wedding, portrait of my BF, and a greeting card. I had some hiccups when I tried to share a video created with the app but I learned if I stopped the video, then downloaded, then I would get a nice-sized image to share. This is a fun addition to my creativity.
