This morning, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 received three Academy Award nominations for Best Art Direction, Makeup and Visual Effects! While this is fab, I was hoping that HP72 would get a nomination for Best Picture.
According to Hypable: A film has to receive more than 5% of the votes to make the cut. Which means Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 fared very poorly in this category. Only 9 films received more than 5% of the vote.
Lord of the Rings 3 got the nomination and the win in 2004. I had hoped that HP would finally get some love.
