Whee!
The Melbourne Star was one of the first things I noticed when we drove from the airport. Our host said she’d never been on it and didn’t think many people did either. I asked many other locals who all said the same thing.
The Star never appears as if it’s moving so it would be a safe assumption that it wasn’t being used.
What I found was that the wheel moves so slowly that it appears that it is not moving similar to the rotating restaurant at the Bonaventure. It takes 30 minutes for one rotation
It was a beautiful autumn day with blue skies so I wanted to take advantage of that for my trip. I had my own car which can fit up to 10 people so it was quite luxurious.
I love rides and I love altitude. This was a fun way to see the skyline from a new angle. Highly recommend!
