Magic Bites (Kate Daniels #1) by Ilona Andrews was recommended to me from 3 different sources. Since I like the supernatural world of vampires, were-animals, and magic, my friends and Goodreads thought this book series would be just the ticket.
Kate Daniels is a mercenary who makes her living cleaning up paranormal problems. Since this is a multi-book series, Magic Bites introduces us to the main characters and the magical world they inhabit, while providing a mystery to solve.
This is a fun series to dip into periodically when I need a filler or fluffy book to read. It was a fast and entertaining read, perfect for 2am insomnia.
