Limes

Limes give an extra kick in many recipes. Limes brighten guacamole and bean dip.

Daughter had the recent chore of squeezing lemons and limes and making lemonade. Limeade, citrus-ade, whatever. When she measured the ingredients into the pitcher, she discovered it wasn’t big enough. She asked me what to do. Um, get a bigger pitcher?

She thought it brilliant.

When she poured the ingredients into the new vessel, there was a lime sludge left at the bottom. She asked how she could eat it so I suggested she spread it on toast. She liked her lime-sugar on toast snack.

Gin

Gin has been my least favorite alcohol. I don’t know why I bought a bottle. Besides tonic, what else do you mix gin with? The limeade was perfect.
