Ironman 3

ironman3It was an opening weekend success for Robert Downey Jr.’s Ironman 3. Although it was 3-D, there weren’t any standout scenes that were enhanced by the technology. It was nice, but didn’t carry a wow-factor.

Gweneth Paltrow is miscast: with the romantic leads having so little chemistry, Downey has to verbally convince us of his feelings for her. I like Paltrow as an actress, just not in this role. They should have recast after the first movie.

When did they start making the bad guys so good-looking? I was starting to root for the villain just because he looked so good.

If one Ironman is good, then 2-dozen is even better? The robot clones seemed a bit over the top. The complete destruction of the Malibu house was cool though.

I walked out thinking: what was Ironman 2 about? Then a day later I thought, what was the plot to Ironman 3 again? Fun but forgettable.
