Fog

Living in a coastal town, fog has a funny way of changing the landscape. This morning at 5:30 I headed up the road for my hill repeats. The sky was clear showing the bright stars and the full white moon. When I turn around at the top of the hill, I see the view of the coast and ocean. I could see light reflection along the horizon which meant there was fog rolling in. It was a lovely effect.

Sometimes the fog stays at the coast, but today it didn’t. By the second repeat at the top of the hill, the fog had rolled inland and fewer lights could be seen. By the third repeat, the stars were dimming overhead and by the time I reached home at 6:30, the beautiful full moon was completely obscured.

The fog won. Here’s a fun time released video of the fog retreating from over Santa Barbara.
