With travel restrictions tightly enforced, there were 22 passengers, 13 cabin crew, and 4 flight crew for the entire Airbus A350. There was no wait for meals or drinks, there was never a line for the bathroom, and there was enough room that I could spread out between 3 seats and sleep. This 14 hour and 1 minute was the least stressful flight ever.
I do love movies so I consumed several. Cats is as bad as you heard but I had to watch as one watches a car wreck. I watched Charlie’s Angels for Kristen Stewart chaotic energy. I’d read Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep (sequel to The Shining) so I was excited it was an option for this flight. Fairly good but of course the book was better. I watched an hour of Frozen 2 before we landed. No brain cells were injured in the making of this flight.
We deplaned and queued in a minimum of 15 lines for activities such as getting our temperature taken, a full health screen for covid, customs, picking up our luggage, declarations, boarding the bus to the quarantine hotel, and at least 2 lines to get into the hotel itself.
I was exhausted once in the room and couldn’t do anything other than shower and pull the covers up to my nose. I spent the first day doing nothing, wallowing, with no structure. I will be doing the next 13 days will more purpose.
