97. Whispers: Write about someone who has to whisper a secret to someone else.
Are whispers always secrets or can they be bad rumors meant to disparage someone? Why are rumors whispered in hushed tones, tearing someone’s reputation down, meant to hurt and demean? “Did you know that so-and-so did such-and-such and that makes them depraved, bad, evil?” Rumors in secret form place the subject of such rumor in a less-than, objectified position but because the subject is not privy to the rumor and cannot combat the misinformation. If the subject does hear about the rumor, how do they combat it and set the record straight? Who can they confront and dispel the falsehoods?
