76. Missing You: Write about someone you miss dearly.
I miss my mom. I have missed her hug and attentive ear for almost 18 years now and for most of my kids’ life, she has not been here to watch them grow up. I’ve not had the wise woman to help me through motherhood woes and a challenging adulthood, nor to answer the questions that now google answers for me. I long for the opportunity to sit on the kitchen counter with her while she washes the dishes. Ancestral stories are lost and family links are broken. Everyone loved my mom and the world dimmed when her light went out.
