I know little about sports, less about hockey, even less about international sports, and nothing about Jacky Schoenaker. I’m rather impressed that this young woman (everyone’s young to me these days) playing professional, international hockey. With her father being a footballer, I wonder
- if he pushed her into the sport
- if he wanted a son but pushed sports onto his daughter
- if she felt like she needed to have a sport to connect with her dad
- if she had to prove herself in the family with a sport
I like that she’s Dutch since I’m half Dutch but wow, do I know nothing about women’s hockey!!
