64. Sing a New Song: Take a popular song off the radio and rewrite it as a poem in your own words.
I can buy myself flowers
– Miley Cyrus
Write my name in the sand
Talk to myself for hours
Say things you don’t understand
I can take myself dancing
And I can hold my own hand
Yeah, I can love me better than you can
aside: I don’t do poems
I am a strong, independent woman. I can be self-sufficient and take care of myself in the manner that I want to be taken care of. I’ve communicated what I want and need from a relationship but either you don’t hear what I’m saying, you don’t understand my requests, or you don’t care. Whichever the case, although I don’t need you to do the things I’ve communicated but it let’s me know that I can’t rely on you. I know what I want and need so I’m going to do these things for myself and enjoy my own company and revel in the experience.
