63. Spice: Write about flavors and tastes or a favorite spice of yours.
My first solo plane trip was at age 11 to visit extended family in Los Altos. We visited Standford University and I bought lavender flavored candy in the bookstore. I fell in love with the taste and smell experience and coveted the candies so much that I only allowed myself to eating one or two a year. I kept the tin in my dresser so the smell would waft out when I opened the drawer. I would periodically open the tin just to smell them. I think they lasted until I went to college.
As an adult, I like flower flavors: rose, elder flower, lavender, and violet. Torani and Monin makes these flavored syrups so I can add to water or alcohol. These flavors give me joy. Other flavors I like are lychee, passion fruit, and nut flavors.
