365. Congratulations: Did you write a poem, short story, or journal entry every day for a whole year? Write about what you’ve learned and celebrate your achievement!
This writer’s challenge was a worthy venture in 2023. I have always said that I couldn’t write my way out of a paper bag but now I feel confident that I could indeed do this if needed. I don’t think my writing is all that good but I’m happy with at least ten of my entries. I discovered I don’t like writing fiction nor poetry. I’m not sure I have the imagination for such ventures so I tried to at least have proper enough sentence structure and be passably interesting. The prompts occasionally were repetitive so were maybe designed to stretch a topic but I found I have limited thoughts on a topic. It’s hard to expand on what I write.
This was a good creative exercise for the year. I’m going to try TikTok videos for 2024.
