362. Camera: Take your camera for a walk and write based on one of the photographs you take.
My camera is my constant companion wherever I go and serves as a primary activity in my travels. I have no need for physical souvenirs so I use photos as my souvenirs plus photography enhances my experience. I don’t just see what I’m touring or viewing, I’m contemplating lighting, angles, framing , and composition. Some might say that I’m not truely appreciating my surroundings but I feel more engaged when I’m seeing it through a lens on many levels as well as with my eye. I don’t capture all images that I set up because the animal moved, the wind blew the flower I was focusing on, or the cloud passes over the sun. Photography is a sport I can play anywhere and since I’ve spent more time away from home than at home in 2023, it’s portable, inexpensive, and fun.
