358. Picnic: Write about going on a picnic.
It is Christmas Eve and we spent the day in Mindo, Ecuador admiring butterflies, zip lining over the tropical jungle, and hiking to waterfalls. Returning to Quito on 2 different busses spanning three hours, I was exhausted and a little grumpy from hunger. Because it was Christmas Eve in a catholic country, most eating establishments were closed. We managed to find a sandwich shop, ordered (I got a turkey sandwich), and walked back to our room. We had a picnic with a $4 bottle of local wine in our room for Christmas Eve dinner. Cheers to being a traveler.
