355. Spellbound: Write about a witch’s spell.
I had heard about Harry Potter stories but didn’t know much about them except that they were wildly popular. In 2003, returning from my Hawaiian 40th birthday trip, daughter purchased book 1 at the airport and read it on the way home. She was hooked and began consuming books 2-4 via the library. For her next birthday, grandma got her the 5th book in hard cover and then we went to the midnight release of book 6 at Borders. We got all the companion books and theory books we could. I started listening to a Harry Potter podcast and made the kids go to Universal Studios in Florida for the Wizarding World. I was disappointed that Rowling revealed herself to be a terf. I love the magical world of Harry Potter but now hate the author. Unfortunate turn of events.
