337. Corporation: Write about big business.
I am appalled by many big business practices but especially at the idea of profit at the expense of people and the environment. Capitalism and shareholder earnings push business to make very bad decisions in my opinion. “If we lay off all these workers, we’ll save this much money, and then our earnings increase.” You’ve heard of girl math? This is business math. This is bad math.
In 2022, CEOs were paid 344 times as much as a typical worker in contrast to 1965 when they were paid 21 times as much as a typical worker.

There is NO CEO worth this much. They do not contribute that much more than a typical worker. This system is unfair and a travesty.
