334. Sweet Talk: Write about trying to convince someone of something.
Dear Daughter,
Travel has been a valuable endeavor in my life. I used to see things in magazines and wonder what they looked like in real life. Disneyland tries to approximate what real world things are like but it’s really not the same as seeing something in the wild with your own eyes. I would like you to experience some of the joys of travel: the people, cultures, settings, buildings, environment, and food. Expanding your view of the world is nourishing to your mind and emotions. I understand there are concerns about travel to the airport, the airport itself, the plane trip, lodgings, and navigating a language you don’t speak but it will be ok. We know how to do all of those things and will take care of you on the trip. Sometimes different things can be overwhelming but we’ll have a schedule so you know what to expect and we have books for you to familiarize yourself with our location. I’ll check in with you regularly to see if you have any questions or if problems to be addressed. I would love to explore with you and create new memories together.
