33. Jewelry: Write about a piece of jewelry. Who does it belong to?
When my mom passed, I received many pieces of jewelry from her. A couple pieces were real (an opal, an amethyst) but most of it was costume jewelry. Some of the strands of beads weren’t 40-something ready so I re-beaded several necklaces to my liking.
For my wedding, I wore a pearl ring that I inherited and a white beaded bracelet that looked like pearls. Although they weren’t real pearls, I am ok with that. If the bracelet is pretty and matches the fit I’m seeking, I love it. It was a way I could carry my mom with me into my wedding.
