I have used temporary hair color for several years but in August when I tried it, the color was barely visible and washed out immediately. When I wanted to try again (for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie) I decided to bleach it first and then dye it. The prepped and bleached hair was an odd shade of light brown so when I added the purple, the color was vibrant. The purple did not wash out nor bleed on my pillow case. After two weeks, the gray roots started showing through so this along with my thinning hair, I started having some anxiety about my hair. After two more weeks, the purple sides faded to a strawberry pink color but the top was still super purple. In an uncharacteristic leap, I asked my brother (who I was visiting in Wisconsin) to give me a buzz cut. Don’t have to worry about the color now and it’s much easier to watch the thinning hair.
