306. Long Distance Love: Write about a couple that is separated by distance.
Relationships are hard enough without the added burden of being separated by distance. Some may say that at least when you are separated, there are fewer issues to cause problems or that absence makes the heart grow fonder. With distance, I think even the smallest misunderstanding or problem becomes larger than it probably really is because there is not the supporting body language and tone of voice that can mitigate conflict. There’s the adage that ‘when the cat’s away the mice will play’ but I think it’s more of an out of sight, out of mind scenario that is more salient.
