29. Good Vibes: What makes you smile? What makes you happy?
Sunset chasing is a new hobby. I have always liked sunrises and sunsets since they vary each day. As the sun gets close to the horizon, I check to see the cloud configuration. Are the clouds so the sun can reflect? What type of clouds? How have the sunsets been recently?
You need patience for colors to develop in the sky. One night I gave up too early and found that 15 minutes later, it was the best color but I had already moved out shooting range.
A sunset begins and cycles through colors as the sky darkens. Colors deepen and then fade to black so it’s a gamble of when the color at its most vibrant. I wonder what the calculus is regarding peak color. Sunset chasing is an inexpensive, inoffensive, and simple hobby.
As I capture the light, I feel peace and happiness. At the end, I practically dance home.
