288. Sacrifice: Write about something you’ve sacrificed doing to do something else or help another person.
When my kids were born, I stopped working outside of the house which reduced my social security. As a woman, my earnings are lower and my previous profession of counselor was in a lower income bracket so although I hadn’t contributed a ton to my social security bottom line, at least something was going into it. I sacrificed my social security to raising children. Yes I did start a business but sad to say that I did not contribute to my funds as I should have so now that I’m actually approaching an age where I could draw from it, the amount is pitiful.
