After I lived in Saipan for a year in my late 20’s, I visited Australia for 2 months before returning home to claim my MFT license and start my new career. For the first Christmas back home, mom gave me a stuffed kangaroo with a detachable joey in the pocket. She tried to give me meaningful gifts to me so this token was to give homage to my recent adventure as well as support and encourage my new goal of getting married and having a baby. The mama and baby were to be me and my baby. I still have the toy sitting in my office and it not only symbolizes me and my babies but me and my mom.
