261. Rocks and Gems: Write about a rock or gemstone meaning.
I love shiny and sparkly things so it should be no surprise that I like gems and minerals and when I had the opportunity to go to the Mines Museum of the Colorado School of Mines, I jumped at the chance. I don’t know much about minerals even though I’ve been to many museums because I mostly just like to look at how pretty the specimens are. Yes, I know it’s shallow but can’t I just like what I like? Many of the specimens looked like food to me: milk chocolate chunks sprinkled on ice cream, dark chocolate in big flakes of coconut, or caramel embedded in vanilla ice cream. The food aesthetic built into a sparkle experience is 10/10.
