247. In the Clouds: Go cloud watching for the day and write about what you imagine in the clouds.
In the Swiss Alps, we took a cog-wheel train up to the village of Lauterbrunnen where we could sit at the base of the Eiger Mountain. The peak was clearly visible while we were on the train and I captured great pix and videos but when we arrived, the clouds began moving in. As we began our short hike up, clouds obscured the peak so by the time we were as close as we were going to get, the peak was completely shrouded. I was disappointed because I wanted gorgeous pix of the looming glacial facade but alas, sometimes the experience of being up close and personal with such a wonder is in itself the greatest experience rather than capturing it with pixels.
