243. Sestina: Give a try to writing a sestina poem.
I did not know what a sestina was and after an hour of research, I still don’t understand what it is. I have read multiple articles, examples, and a Wikipedia entry about them and my brain cannot process how to write one. If writing something requires math, I’m out. I guess if someone is gifted with words and writing, this mental gymnastic of creativity would be a delightful challenge but I look at the complicated rules of compilation and I cringe at activity. We all have our strengths and weaknesses plus there are some new activities that tickle my curiosity, but sestinas do not speak to my strength nor my interests.
