Challenge Day 228

228. Mailbox: Open your mailbox and write something inspired by one of the pieces of mail you received.

I am going to old here: I remember that the main ways to communicate with someone were by telephone and by mail, both of which are passe now. I would wait excitedly for the phone to ring and for the mailman to arrive. I loved skipping out to the mailbox to see who wrote me or replied to something I sent them. I had pen-pals from girl scout camp, from a European vacation, and family members would even write. I liked cards but really liked hand written letters so I could learn what they were doing in their life. I liked the connection. In today’s digital world, I get cards from my aunt and sometimes my sister. I appreciate the thought and attention given to this written communication.
