Waterfalls are destinations where you choose to find them, spend time and energy getting to them, and enjoying the beauty once you have arrived. There are not many year-round waterfalls in our foothills but when it rains, we get some that we must hike to just to prove there are waterfalls there. The waterfall at the Mt. Whitney trailhead was refreshing since the air was choked with fire ash during the pandemic. All the waterfalls in Yosemite are iconic and must-see spectacles, touring and hiking from one to another trying to see them all in a weekend. My photos are not that good but I’ve enjoyed them regardless.
