208. Video Inspiration: Go to Vimeo.com or YouTube.com and watch one of the videos featured on the homepage. Write something based on what you watch.
In preparation for the Taylor Swift concert, I wanted to memorize the bridge from “Cruel Summer” since it was a known audience participation opportunity. I searched for the lyrics and started to memorize the words but I was having a hard time so I cued the YouTube video and played the bridge a hundred times. I practiced in the car, in the shower, sitting in the doctor’s office but still was challenged by my memory. I know that music usually aids in the memorization of words but even with the music on loop, I barely can string the words together in proper sequence, tempo, and cadence. We’ll see how it goes, maybe I’ll just mouth the words.
