197. Pirates: Write about a pirate ship.
Because of untreated myesthenia gravis, I wore an eye patch on and off for years with the longest continuous period being three years. Having double vision is exhausting so an eye patch is necessary to drive, read, and do most tasks. Being self-conscious of the eye patch, DH2 regularly told me that pirates were sexy and even bought me pirate gear to relieve some of my anxiety about the patch. For Halloween 2020, there was a staff costume contest so I did a pirate photo shoot for myself and sent in a triptych of images. Although I didn’t win the contest, I was happy with the results. I don’t think I would actually like to be a real pirate though.
