Elysium is as far as to
Suspense. By Emily Elizabeth Dickinson
The very nearest room
No poem, sorry.
Elysium is a place or condition of ideal happiness so if I am not happy where I am, perhaps happiness is just around the corner. When I feel stuck, restless, sad, or bored, the hope or illusion that there is something better close by that I can stroll into effortlessly to alleviate my uncomfortable state. The desire is that the better place is as close as the next room waiting for me. I am often in the state of less-than-happy and seek ways, places, and experience to get closer to that happy state. Is it the human condition or just me?
