178. Jury Duty: Write a short story or poem that takes place in a courtroom.
Who literally just walked in from jury duty? DH2! He had to start checking in on Sunday night and was grateful that he didn’t have to go both Monday and Tuesday but alas, he did have to check in at noon today. There were 100 prospective jurors and during the talking/into part of the day, apparently he fell asleep because he looked around to notice that everyone but him had a badge on so apparently they had all received badges while he was asleep. He thought someone should have woken him up as he thinks he would have woken someone up if they had been asleep. He admits to being embarrassed and rationalized that he was tired. He has to return next Wednesday but doesn’t think he will get chosen because we’ll be out of the country when the trial actually begins.
