174. Gloves: Write about a pair of gloves – what kind of gloves are they? Who wears them and why?
My mom did all of the yard work (heck she did all of the house work too, but that’s another story) and I remember her with a kerchief covering her hair and a pair of clippers in her garden-gloved hands. I took on that role in my first marriage i.e. doing all of the yard and house work, and I too gathered gardening gloves. Because I am right-handed, the right glove wore out faster than the left so eventually I ended up gardening with left gloves only. The kids gave me gardening tools and I loved getting a new pair of gloves for mother’s day.
