166. Fantasy: Write about fairies, gnomes, elves, or other mythical creatures.
My first introduction to fairies was through Disney: Tinkerbell from Peter Pan, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty, and the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. I was born and raised Catholic so I had a religious godmother, but because the only other reference of godmother in my life was from Cinderella, I thought the whole term was Fairy Godmother and when I was young, I always referred to my religious godmother as my Fairy Godmother. She always made me feel special and gifted me new clothes at Christmas and on my birthday so she accurately fit the role of Fairy Godmother quite well. Since my mom has passed away, she’s now my substitute mom too. I’m lucky to still have her in my life.
