153. Shaping Up: Write something that makes a shape on the page…ie: a circle, a heart, a square, etc.
Synesthesia is when one sense is experienced by another sense so I often think and feel in shapes and colors. A physical sensation can get translated to falling gold glitter and the mention of a city gets translated to a pinpoint on a map. Although I think I’ve always had this, working in graphic design has enhanced this reality. When I read these daily writing prompts, an image reveals itself first and then by reflecting on that image, I eek out words that describe or verbally illustrate what that image is. I enjoy light exhibits because the colors and shapes wash over me and I don’t have to use words to translate anything.
