Challenge Day 146

146. Clear and Transparent: Write a poem about being able to see-through something.

Things that are transparent that I can think of: window, clothing, some people’s intentions; but there are many other things that are see-through though. In Kalbarri National Park Western Australia, Nature’s Window is a beautiful example of something see-through. From the Kalbarri skywalk, the trail loop led us along a ridge overlooking Murchison River. The river gorge is 80km deep cutting through red and white banded sandstone. The window itself is wind-eroded and frames a beautiful view of the river. There are multiple warnings along the trail since the rock is fragile and the drop is steep. We were there in late June, just as winter began which was good since the temperature can rise into the 120s. It was a great walk with spectacular views.
