Living alone for all this time
along the tree-lined coast
I evaded the disposable prone culture
of which they always boastThrow away culture threatens
all living things
oceans, animals, people
and even trees
This is a challenge because I no longer think in poetry or prose. I can barely think in narrative voice! I’m not sure what words I could have found that would have inspired me to write something better. I need a poetry 101 class to remind me of what poetry is, how to construct it, and how to write it! Definitely not by best work to date.
