139. Sharing: Write about sharing something with someone else.
When it came time to tell family about getting married, we didn’t want to do it digitally so our goal was to at least tell people over the phone. No one likes to talk on the phone anymore and are all highly suspicious when I ask if we can schedule a call.
Me 8/14 6:10pm: When would you have time for a phone call?
Me 8/16 10:38am: Bueller? Bueller?
Daughter: Hi. Am still in Vegas
Me 8/16 10:50am: Got it. Give me a call when you can.
Me 8/19 5:01pm: Are you home yet?
Daughter 8/19 8:40pm: yes. I’m sorry I haven’t been in touch.
She hadn’t been feeling well so I gave her some more time.
Me 8/22 4:18pm: How is the week starting off?
Daughter 8/22 5:30pm: Not great. Today is overwhelming.
Me 8/22 6:42pm: I understand that you don’t want to talk but may I have a 5 minute phone call?
Daughter: Sure
