138. Mailbox: Create a poem, short story, or journal entry based on a recent item of mail you’ve received.
When you are out of the country for several months, the mail piles up. Walking into the house, we were greeted by mounds of packages, letters, magazines, and flyers. In previous years, Son didn’t throw away the junk mail before our return so we would have to wade through the sea of paper but thankfully Sister was in charge of mail management this year so we did not have that tedious chore. An initial sorting ends in piles of stuff to be filed and to be acted upon. Now the two piles are staring at me, taunting me in my inaction.
