There was a lot to do in the six weeks we were in Santa Barbara. I did get to do some interesting things before I became bedridden due to my fractured toe.

I was happy to be in my native environment and I didn’t have to think about where in the world I was in relation to everywhere else. I went to the “no kings” rally and march. I enjoyed the beauty of my neighborhood and connecting with my friends.
Morro Bay
Son’s GF wanted the parental units to spend time and get to know each other. They had condos in Morro Bay so we all converged there for the weekend. Since it was the weekend before Halloween, Morro Bay had their annual witches paddle and community fair on the main street. We went to the Madonna Inn for dinner and enjoyed a beautiful morning hike on Sunday.

I watched the apogee moon rise from Hendry’s Beach – lovely

Even in my moon-boot, I visited daughter in AZ and went to the Musical Instrument Museum – fascinating place.

My MIL visited for a few days before we drove her north for Thanksgiving. We left dinner to go to the airport, back to Melbourne.

I was grateful to be able to spend time with both of my kids and briefly see my sister. I love and miss them everyday that I’m in Melbourne.
