This blog was maintained well 2012-2014. Then life filled with surgery recovery, cancer, graduations, and abandonment. As I began my 2021 goal to update all kid reference and pronouns, I found that the Instagram photo links were all broken. Hmmm.
Once upon a time, I could trick the browser into telling me the direct link to an Instagram photo. I guess Facebook shut that option down and changed servers. I could get something like http://photos-b.ak.instagram.com/hphotos-ak-xap1/10349601_296425977185481_1409286143_n.jpg. Now when I look at the code and get something like https://scontent-lax3-1.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.2885-15/e35/133849845_1130206324102016_752972160548854205_n.jpg. I can see that everything is on a new server and Instagram blocks being able to see the image itself. Nothing can be referenced via a direct link.
So I’ve had to screen shot or find the original images I used to fix the broken images. I’ll be working on this for a couple of months.
